Hello to All from Cape Verde islands.
The weather right now is unusual for this time of the year. There is almost no wind and it is very sunny.

A friend, Max from Austria, was on his way to Sal Island aboard his catamaran. They love to fish, so they have a couple lures out there. Between Sao Nicolau and Sal, they landed a 238 kilo blue marlin. Thomas on the Itoma, the 71 feet catamaran rigged for windsurfing and diving, have not been lucky with the wind so far, so they trolled for one hour on the south, and they landed a 215 kilo blue marlin.

There are plenty with fish all over in the waters around Cape Verde. A good friend Zeca, a local fisherman who owns a few commercial boats, just told me that they are caching many yellow fins in Sal, Boavista and Maio. They say it’s like 10 15 years ago. Well, we have a lot of tunas around and room for guests! Its very easy to get here and it will get even easier when TACV (Cabo Verde airline) starts flying directly from Lisbon to Sao Vicente from April. Every Friday you can fly non-stop. I know this will make it a lot easier to get here, and more anglers will therefore find their way out to us and the great marlins. This also means that booking in advance is even more important.

The last two weeks in June and the last week in July are open for booking.

Best regards to all and good fishing.

Hello to All from the Cape Verde’s,
The season has officially started. Amelia and her crew fished for four days, and the result is great. Who says this time of year is too early for Blue Marlin? We had 13 bites, one raised and six fish caught, and all that just 15 minutes out of Mindelo.
First day we fished on the south (Sao Pedro bank) but nothing there, so late that afternoon I moved to the north, and it looked very good there with lots of baitfish.
Next day, we went straight to the north. Here at the end of the day, we caught 2 out of 5 bites, a 400lbs on the RPP from Bart Miller and a 300lbs on the Wide Range. We pulled the hooks on one around 500lbs and two smaller ones.
Yesterday, we had 2 bites. One landed around 300 lbs on the RPP, and we raised one about 500lbs that did bite.
Today, our last day, we had 6 bites and 3 caught: a 300 lbs, a 275 and a 200lbs. Two fish were caught on the Super Chuger and one on the RPP.

As you can see the fishing is fantastic, so come and fish with us. I will have special rates for this month and next one.

Best regards to all and good fishing.

Hello to all from the Cape Verde islands.
At the moment the weather is fantastic. We will start fishing on Saturday with Amelia for four days. We need two days to get Amelia ready. Some clean up and we will be running.

We arrived a week ago from the canaries, with Beast’n, my self and my friend Thomas, owner of Itoma, a catamaran designed for windsurfing and diving. The trip was fantastic, three days with flat sea and one with wind to 15 kt.

We still have some days left in mars and in June. If you looking for the paradise for blue marlin fishing don’t let this days go.

Best regards to all.
